Soybean oil is extracted from the seeds of the soybean (Glycine max) and often has a dark yellow or faint green color. It is one of the most widely used vegetable oil in the world and is becoming increasingly popular with massage therapists because the oil is very light, and an excellent alternative to Sweet Almond. Soybean oil has extremely high contents of Lecithin, Sterolins, and Vitamin E, which is directly associated with improving the appearance of blemishes, reducing acne scarring, protecting the skin against sunburn, and stimulating the regrowth of new skin cells to promote healing.
