Description
Annie Magnetic Hair Rollers in the 1 1/2 inch diameter come 12 to a pack in red, and the wider barrel changes what the set produces. Where a small roller wraps many turns per section and returns a tight coil, 1 1/2 inches wraps fewer, larger turns, and the result is soft curl with lift at the root rather than definition at the ends. That is why this size is the one reached for when the goal is a smooth blowout look or simply body through the length. It wants hair with some length to work with: on medium and longer hair the section wraps cleanly, while on very short hair a barrel this wide has too little to hold. The magnetic barrel grips the section from root to tip and keeps tension for the whole drying cycle, which is how the shape is built without heat being applied at any stage, and it is the reason a wet set holds longer than a blow dry on most hair types. Twelve rollers section a full head uniformly at this diameter, and uniform sectioning is what keeps the finish even from crown to nape. These are magnetic rollers, so each one is anchored with a pik, a pin or a clip. With a barrel this size that anchoring matters more, not less, because a larger wrap carries more weight and will slide if it is not pinned.
